7 aprile Equieffe Equestrian Centre – CSI4 3rd day
Gorla Minore, 6 aprile 2025 – Terminato anche il secondo CSI4* all’Equieffe Equestrian Centre di Gorla Minore. L’arena in erba Gibus ha fatto da cornice al momento clou della giornata: il Gran Premio 155 LR presented by Equiline, affiancato dalla 145. Parallelamente, l’arena in sabbia Equinoxe Mascheroni ha ospitato la 140. Una chiusura intensa per il week-end.
Ellen Whitaker conquista la vittoria nel CSI4* Grand Prix presented by Equiline
A chiudere la domenica sull’arena in erba Gibus è stato il tanto atteso Gran Premio 155 LR presented by Equiline, prova clou del CSI4*, che ha visto 50 partenti affrontare un percorso molto tecnico progettato dai course designer Andrea Colombo e Louis Konickx.
Il primo a mettere a segno un giro netto è stato il norvegese Marit Haarr Skollerud Cox in sella a Nelson van ’t Roosakker, che ha chiuso il tracciato con il tempo di 78.85 secondi. A seguire, altri binomi sono riusciti ad aggiudicarsi un posto in barrage dopo aver concluso il primo percorso senza errori: Ioli Mytilineou con La Perla vd Heffinck, in 79.03 secondi, il polacco Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski con Komboy, in 80.77 secondi, la giovane amazzone del Principato di Monaco, Anastasia Nielsen, con Dark Chocolate 48, Ellen Whitaker, impeccabile in sella a Korlenski, dopo aver fermato il cronometro a 80.76 secondi.
La prima a completare il jump-off con un doppio netto è stata Ioli Mytilineou, impeccabile in sella a La Perla vd Heffinck, chiudendo in 47.29 secondi e fissando un riferimento importante per chi sarebbe arrivato dopo. A superarla però è stata l’ultima a entrare in campo, Ellen Whitaker, che con Korlenski è riuscita a fermare il cronometro in 46.46 secondi conquistando la vittoria. Sul terzo gradino del podio il polacco Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski, autore di un altro doppio netto con Komboy, in 48.64 secondi.
Ha seguito al quarto Anastasia Nielsen con Dark Chocolate 48, in 50.82 secondi, mentre ha chiuo la top five Marit Haarr Skollerud Cox su Nelson van ’t Roosakker, che ha terminato in 50.38 secondi.

Un podio tutto olandese nella 145 del CSI4*
Nell’arena in erba Gibus, la categoria H145 del CSI4* a due fasi ha visto emergere su 58 partenti l’olandese Kevin Jochems, che ha fermato il cronometro della seconda fase in 27.29 secondi in sella a Prada di Costa M, aggiudicandosi il primo. Alle sue spalle, a un soffio di distanza, la connazionale Mel Thijssen con Chic Fou de la Bastide, seconda con un tempo di 27.30 secondi, mentre Leon Thijssen ha completato il podio tutto olandese chiudendo la seconda fase con Looking For You in 27.59 secondi. Il polacco Przemyslaw Konopacki ha conquistato la quarta posizione in sella a Pure Pasion from Second Life Z con 27.69 secondi, seguito dal belga Andres Vereecke, quinto con Ona van de Begijnakker in 27.78 secondi.

Elia Simonetti e Cora Guidetti primi ex aequo nella H140
Nell’arena in sabbia Equinoxe Mascheroni è andata in scena la categoria H140 a tempo del CSI4*. A imporsi sono stati due giovani talenti italiani: Elia Simonetti, che continua la scia di successi a Gorla, in sella a Casa Miss Blue PS e Cora Guidetti con Pink Lady van’t Nachtegaelehof, entrambi autori di un percorso netto in 53.77 secondi che è valso loro un primo posto ex aequo. Terza posizione per il danese Theodor Linde con Talinka de Quelennec Z (54.35), seguito dall’olandese Leon Thijssen con Lechinto St Ghyvan Z in 54.77 secondi e dallo svizzero Pius Schwizer, quinto classificato in sella a Jheevana Hero Z (55.05). Equieffe Equestrian Centre: Saturday’s CSI4* Results
The second day of the second CSI4* at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre in Gorla Minore is in full swing. The international classes valid for the FEI Longines Rankings were split between the Gibus grass arena, which hosted the 155 and 145 classes, and the Equinoxe Mascheroni sand arena, where the 140 class took place. It was an intense day of sport, with riders determined to make their mark at the heart of the outdoor season.
Ellen Whitaker dominates CSI4* Grand Prix presented by Equiline
The highlight of the day was the 155 LR presented by Equiline, held in the Gibus grass arena. Out of 64 starters, only 11 produced clear rounds, but it was Ellen Whitaker of Great Britain who came out on top, delivering a faultless round in 74.46 seconds aboard Quainton X-Rated (2010, GBR). Elisabeth Meyer of Germany claimed second place with Zensation 2 (2013, GER), crossing the finish line in 75.93 seconds, while Jos Verlooy of Belgium completed the podium, stopping the clock at 76.63 seconds with Jet Run (2012, GER). Just off the podium, Roger Umnus of Switzerland posted a time of 76.96 seconds with Viareggio RSI (2013, ITA), while Michael Viehweg of Germany secured fifth place, finishing in 77.13 seconds aboard Cartal (2012, GER).
The first rider to complete the jump-off with a double clear round was Ioli Mytilineou, flawless aboard La Perla vd Heffinck, finishing in 47.29 seconds and setting a strong benchmark for those who followed. However, it was the last to enter the arena, Ellen Whitaker, who managed to beat the time with Korlenski, stopping the clock at 46.46 seconds and claiming the win.
The third step of the podium went to Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski of Poland, who also delivered a double clear with Komboy, in 48.64 seconds.
Anastasia Nielsen followed in fourth place with Dark Chocolate 48, finishing in 50.82 seconds, while Marit Haarr Skollerud Cox closed the top five aboard Nelson van ’t Roosakker, in 50.38 seconds.

Elia Simonetti continues his winning streak: first place in the CSI4* 145
In the Gibus grass arena, the 145 against the clock with jump-off saw 40 starters take on a technical and well-designed course set by Andrea Colombo and Louis Konickx. Only 9 pairs made it through to the jump-off. Elia Simonetti claimed victory once again, continuing his excellent form after placing fourth in last week’s CSI4* Grand Prix and winning yesterday’s 140. Riding Klaas B (2015, NED), Simonetti delivered a brilliant double clear in 36.27 seconds, leaving little room for his rivals. Giulia Martinengo Marquet was right on his heels with Girlstar des Baleines (2016, FRA), also jumping clear in the jump-off and finishing in 36.30 seconds, just a few hundredths behind. Matias Larocca of Argentina took third place with Baloe HP (2014, SWE), also going clear but with a time of 38.13 seconds. Fourth place went to young Dutch rider Lars Kersten on Figueras de Laume (2015, FRA), while Robert Murphy of Great Britain rounded out the top five with Catch-Me van Berkenbroeck (2014, BEL), finishing in 40.33 seconds.

Hasan Senturk takes the CSI4* 140 win
Hasan Senturk of Turkey secured the win in the 140 class with a fast clear in 27.37 seconds aboard Avant Toi (2010, FRA). Dutch rider Leon Thijssen gave him a run for his money with Lechinto St Ghivan Z (2012, BEL), finishing in 27.69 seconds to take second place. Once again on the podium, Elia Simonetti took third place, this time with Casa Miss Blue PS (2017), completing the round in 27.87 seconds.
